What do you carry, …… a puppy or an elephant?
I hope you have enjoyed the prayer journey so far?
Let us pray for patience to keep laboring in Prayer, for the full gestation period of that which God has put in us.
We may not fully comprehend the magnitude, and depth, and weight, and thickness, and enormity of what we have been travailing for. If we knew, we would be patient like a pregnant elephant, awaiting the arrival of her heavy weight calf.
1 Corinthians 2: 9(KJV)
But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.
This story I received on whatsapp ministered to me and I had to share what I got from it with you all as it is in line what the #TravailInWorship2016 series.
(Story below + my comments.)
Once upon a time, an Elephant and a Dog fell pregnant at same time.
Three months down the line the dog gave birth to six puppies. Six months later, the dog was pregnant again, and on the ninth month it gave birth to another dozen puppies. The pattern continued. On on the eighteenth month, the dog braggingly displayed her puppies as she approached the elephant.
Dog: Are sure that you are pregnant? We fell pregnant on the same date, I have given birth 3 times to a dozen puppies and they are now grown to become big dogs, yet you are still pregnant. What’s going on? Or you only wanted to be pampered under the pretense of being pregnant?
Hmmmmm. You may be praying and waiting and waiting and praying, yet you see your peers go ahead in life. In short spans of time, they have received genuine breakthroughs in their lives and you wonder, “what is happening to me?”. You may be the topic for discussions on many social platforms, or gossip groups, teased and mocked at left right center. My brother, my sister, Let me encourage you today ok? You are carrying a baby elephant
Let us see what Mrs. Elephant said to her friend, Mrs. Dog.
There is something I want you to understand. What I am carrying is not a puppy but an elephant. I only give birth to one in 2 years. When my baby hits the ground, the earth feels it.
(in naija tonation) Wait wait wait aahn aahn, I say wait now. Did you hear or read what the mama elephant said? Ha! Ha! Ha! The Ground feeeeeeeeels it.
Today I declare that the earth will feel it the day you bring forth what is inside of you.
Ok. Let us continue.
Elephant: When my baby crosses the road, human beings stop and watch in admiration, because what I carry draws attention.
AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!! Did you see that one too?
My sister, what you carry will cause the world to stop and watch in admiration.
Psalm 23:5 NIV
You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows.
If God has said before your enemies, then it means your friends and frenemies all are already seeing it o.
What you have in you eh? You have to Travail in present continuous tense oo, because d, tin wey you dey carry so, Hahaha! ee dey draw attention oooooo. (naija pijin tonation) People go just they look look you up and down like that.
Oya now, mama Elephant, make you continue.
Elephant: It is not common to find an elephant by the side of the road knocked down by a car or as pets in the houses of lay humans. If you will find any, it will be in the houses of royals. So what I’m carrying is mighty and great.
WOOOWWWW. This is sooooo true. Owning personal Elephant in this present day Earth, our own earth, is a BIIIIG DEAL. E no be ordinary people dey fit buy, house, feed, and clothe Elephant o. Mmba no. Na lie. You go fit? No you no go it. Gbam! (in Mr Igbu tonation)
In fact, I declare that what you carry will not be common. It will not be like one of those. It will be a new, exciting, awesome, wonderful, spectacular, breath taking, immaculate, beautiful, “Fantabulous”, and incomprehensible.
It will not be ostentatious. That one na fake fake things. I’m talking about “feeli feeli”. All eyes shall behold and go like, “meeehhnn, this guy, this lady is blesssssssed. This can only be the hand of the Lord”
This story is the heritage of us as believers. What we carry is great, but our faith weakens when we don’t receive answers to prayers or prophecies in the duration of time we, our finite wisdom expect them to come to pass.
Don’t be sad because your breakthrough has not come or it’s taking too long. Do not be in despair. Do not complain or murmur.
Say to yourself these words. Mean them, and Live them.
My Time is Coming.
My blessings are being processed, prepared, packaged and wrapped up in God’s glory. When it hits the surface of the earth, people shall yield in admiration.
Signed Sealed and Delivered: Holy Spirit
